Alex is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker, holding a Master’s degree in Social Work and Social Research from Bryn Mawr College. Over the past three years, Alex has focused his expertise on assisting children of all ages and their families. With a rich background spanning over a decade, Alex's experience extends beyond formal education, encompassing roles in mentoring and coaching athletics. This multifaceted experience has shaped his approach to therapy, which he views through a flexible, integrative, and trauma-informed lens. Alex adopts a holistic perspective, employing a "person in environment" approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). His specialization lies in addressing anxiety and depression, areas where he offers deep expertise and support. He has honed his skills through co-facilitating various groups, including Social Skills Groups for Youth and Grief Groups.
Alex believes in tailoring treatment to fit the unique needs and pace of each individual, facilitating a journey of healing and growth together with his clients. Through empathy, understanding, and a collaborative spirit, Alex strives to empower individuals to navigate their challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals.
