Alison Dagger ~ MT-BC, LPC

Living is not an easy task. It takes immense courage and strength to walk every day into the unknown. This is how I know you are strong, even if it doesn’t feel that way.

Who I work with: Adolescents & Adults

Relationships, life experiences, and beliefs held within our communities can disconnect us, leaving many feeling powerless, overwhelmed, and misunderstood. As your therapist, I believe you hold the knowledge within to heal, and will partner with you to navigate these obstacles and find your best self.

I employ a mind-body approach informed by training in music therapy, expressive arts therapy, and trauma-informed models. I have supported people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and gender identities in navigating challenges including life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem, and identity issues.

Together, we will create a judgment-free space where you can safely explore the beliefs, experiences, and embodied responses preventing you from achieving your goals. Along the way, we will use music, art, poetry, and movement to help narrate and re-write your story (just bring yourself, no “creative gene” required).

Congratulations on taking this initial step towards your own healing! I can’t wait to partner with you.

More about me:

I am a transplant to the Pittsburgh area from New England. Before entering the mental health field I worked in several industries including as a pastry chef and baker. I am a lover of animals and the great outdoors. You can often find me in the local parks or playing music in my free time.
